Sergio Garcia Claims Tiger woods Distracted Him at Competitors Championship.

Relationships between Sergio Garcia and Padraig harrington have never been really friendly, and Garcia did nothing to swap that on Saturday during Round 3 within the Players Championship.

On this par-five second hole, a lovely angle provided Garcia the ability to attack the green in two strokes. Then again, he was visibly irritated after something distracted her in his backswing. Garcia held accountable Woods, who the Spaniard falsely accused of pulling a tavern while he was striking.

When inclement weather quit play at TPC Sawgrass, the always brutally honest Garcia had the following to say to the Golf Channel about the incident, as documented as a result of CBS Sports' Kyle Porter:

I wouldn't say [Woods] didn't see that I was ready, but you do employ a feel when the other guy might hit. Right as I was along with the backswing, he pulled a 5-wood or 3-wood out of your rough and, obviously, most people started screaming, so that didn't help very much.

The ensuing crowd tone that occurred when Woods pulled a wood out of his bag—after misfiring off the tee and landing with the trees and pine straw—was it seems what threw Garcia from on his second taken.

At the time, Garcia was 11 under to your tournament, and Woods was one stroke behind. Through the end of the pit, Garcia had dropped your stroke, and Woods had birdied to look at the outright lead.

Video replay provided by the NBC telecast through the delay showed that Garcia ended up being right, but the 2008 Players champion did him self no favors. Between how he reacted over the course and bringing that up publicly, it wasn't the best move—especially with 12 holes still to finish.

Garcia has a capture of deflecting blame away from his game to explain his shortcomings on the course. After losing to Padraig Harrington within the 2007 British Open inside of a playoff, he explained that they was playing against "more compared to a field" of his chap competitors.

This accusation is more mundane in its genesis, nevertheless. Jason Sobel of Actively playing golf Channel suggests Woods will be more motivated from the latest controversial chatter:

Sports Illustrated golf contributor Stephanie Wei provided some rare defense of Garcia in such cases, praising his honesty.
