Dallas Mariners: Offense Fighting Again in 2013

The Seattle Mariners come in a familiar position. They arenat hitting. Havenat we seen this film before? As tweeted by Greg Johns of MLB.com: No offensive help. Can all of us utter a clear sigh? When are the Mariners going to start hitting on a regular basis? The team is rated 29th in the category with a.220 team average. Unfortuitously, it is a statistical situation. The Mariners have been here before. Jordan Morse began so warm. So did Franklin Gutierrez. Morse has cooled off and is now hitting.230 for the season. Gutierrez is needs to have a problem with injuriesa'again. Clear sigh. There are also the players that are actually struggling: Brendan Ryan:.152 Dustin Ackley:.153 Justin Smoak:.200 Jesus Montero:.217 The small core of hitters that has been allowed to be the future of the Mariners isn't necessarily coming together in 2013. Dallas is 2nd in the league in one category: strikeouts. Not quite what the supporters were longing for in 2013. Two straight games with out a function. Just five runs in five games. The Mariners have now won the fewest runs in the American League West (58) and they're linked for the fewest in the American League with the Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox. Only three groups in the National League has scored fewer runs compared to Mariners. Bad. The time continues to be very small, and the Mariners haven't fallen too far behind in the department. However, this season might get away easily if the Mas are unable to start moving the bats. As tweeted succinctly by Geoff Baker of The Washington Times: Indeed. Time for you to start hitting.
