Chelsea starlet admits interest in Borussia Dortmund switch - GiveMeFootball.com

Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has revealed he thinks Borussia Dortmund would be a good fit for him, according to Goal.com.

Speaking to German newspaper Bild, De Bruyne said: "Dortmund? That would fit me. I am keeping tabs on what they have been doing.

"I will be on the road with Belgium's national team after this season. Perhaps we will know by then where my future lies."

De Bruyne has impressed at Werder Bremen since joining from Chelsea, and despite not having played a competitive game at Stamford Bridge since swapping Genk for west London last summer, he's wanted by a number of clubs.

Bayer Leverkusen are thought to be ready to challenge Dortmund for the Belgian international, and club chairman Wolfgang Holzhauser confirmed their interest in the midfielder.

"We have spoken to De Bruyne as well," said Holzhauser. "He seemed to be open to a move. But in the end Chelsea and their new manager will decide what's going to happen."

De Bruyne had been mentioned as a possible makeweight in a deal to bring Germany international Andre Schurrle to Chelsea.

The 22-year-old forward has reportedly agreed terms in principle with the Stamford Bridge side, but the club still has to finalise a transfer fee with Leverkusen.
