Taylor signs for Caribbean Top Category - ESPN Cricinfo

Connected Links Ross Taylor, the New Zealand batsman, became the third international person to signal for the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) after Ricky Ponting and Adam Gilchrist. Six their participation has been already confirmed by international players from West Indies - Darren Sammy, Dwayne Bravo, Chris Gayle, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard and Marlon Samuels. "I am really excited about playing in the first ever version of the CPL," Taylor said. "As present world winners, West Indies have now been a force in T20 cricket over the past year or two, and CPL must help uncover new global celebrities in the mold of Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine. The Caribbean is one of my favourite spots to play cricket and with the type of play, good atmosphere and the passionate crowds, I am getting excited about being fully a section of this exciting competition." Taylor has 3450 runs in 151 Twenty20s at 30.80 with an attack price of 142.79. He is currently playing in the Indian Premier League for his next business Pune Warriors, after having previously displayed Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Daredevils. The inaugural edition of the CPL will be played in 2013 from July 29 to August 26 by six franchise countries: Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Trinidad and Lucia & Tobago. Players will be selected 15 by each team with a limit of four global players and at the least four players underneath the age of 23.
