Kickstart student startup is helped by newcastle United players - Jesmond Local

The Jesmond Desire edition Students at Newcastle University has, with the support of some local Premiership sportsmen, established a clothing company that encourages Jesmond as a world a and theyall be showing their latest designs on April 12th. The Young Enterprise Heroes YEH clothing line was started by 23-year old Guy Thierry Tiacoh, now a third year Business Management student with classmates and A500 within their pockets when in second year at Newcastle University. Thanks to propitious connections with some Newcastle United soccer stars such as Cheick Tiote, Leon Best and Sammy Ameobi, the point has become a success since its founding in February 2012. Shock had to create our personal startup company as part of our course component, describes Tiacoh. aMe and my friends decided to do something on clothing. I thought, aWhy not?aa, since I realized many Newcastle United participants and many people in Newcastle At the time Tiacoh was living with Cheick Tiote, a pal of Tiacohas elder brother, in Jesmond. aThen I had my own place, which is five minutes away from his home. So I was spending more hours at his place than at my own personal house!a Their friendship intended Tiote knew about Tiacohas job. Tiacoh notices that aI didn't even ask him to endorse my clothing line, [but] heas not big-headed. Heas a very good person. Heas useful and kind to everybody. So he chose to help me.a Tioteas aid generated the clothing line spreading through the Newcastle United dressing room. aLeon Most useful as well, one of many good men I know, helped me promote the brand,a says Tiacoh. aOne time, I thought to him, aBesty, you want to use my apparel line?a So he was like, aYeah, no problem.aa Leon Most readily useful and Cheick Tiote wearing the shirts It has not been all plain sailing for the company. aIt was quite difficult, originally, in the 2nd year. I didnat get my student loan. I had to borrow money from my friends. And [21-year old co-founder] Anu Ogunbiyi asked his parents for a few moneya to help keep the company going, Tiacoh points out. Ogunbiyi was the designer of the Jesmond Dream shirt, which sought to encapsulate, celebrate and poke fun at the luxurious lifestyle of some residents of the location. There were other kinds with a wider target, also. Tiote and Tiacoh recognized the controversial Kony 2012 strategy giving away 10 minimal edition t-shirts with the African map produced in it. People were wanted by awe to know about Africa. We also designed a shirt with the Nigerian flag. There clearly was a conflict between your Muslims and Christians in Nigeria, so we wished to show our support,a said Tiacoh and make a move for the Nigerian people. Annually since the production line was rolled off by the first t-shirts, YEH clothing has earned success. It was judged probably The Most Creative Company at the Young Enterprise yearly Regional Trade Fair in 2012. The initial print run of t-shirts broke even, in accordance with Tiacoh, and the organization has expanded to hat hats and jumpers. aFor this yearas collection,a he provides, aour stocks a' especially the hat hats a' out of stock for the next time. We still have some jumpers left. Because winter is nearly visiting a conclusion, we're attempting to sell them at a reduced price.a Tiacoh also approached Independent Fashion Space, a retail shop selling independent trend brands, who decided to highlight YEHas patterns. The UNAY model from YEH aAt the end of April I will be delivering vests, for the summer, and tops in various colours,a says Tiacoh. aWeare carrying out a fashion display on April 12th, at the Assembly Rooms, and also other fashion brands. Therefore ideally weall get more people to see our company and buy more of our designs.a When asked about YEHas plans for the future, Tiacoh hopes ato make it large, not just in Newcastle, but towns and other schools as well, where students live. If youare from Leeds or Manchester, there are many students living there. They've some thing to be proud of.a The Jesmond Dream may shortly become the Cheshire Dream, all being well, if they can get a t-shirt with the name of the place where they lived, so when they leave uni.
