Former Paris St-Germain coach Antoine Kombouare claims to possess held talks with Tottenham last summer within the manager's post. When he left Parc des Princes in December 2011, interest was attracted by Kombouare from England and he now claims to own held discussions with Spurs, along with West Brom and Swansea, none which came to fruition before he eventually went to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia. Spurs went on to offer the manager's task to Andre Villas-Boas and, after a hard start, that has became a fruitful session. Kombouare, currently underemployed again, told L'Equipe: "After my sacking from PSG I had a six-month break. Then I needed to teach in the Premier League, as opposed to France. "I had associates but because I was always the next or third name on the record it was never sorted. "The contacts? West Bromwich Albion, Swansea and Tottenham. I visited London to generally meet officials, nonetheless it never found something. "I didn't desire to join a small team or perhaps a small European group, and so I finally decided Saudi Arabia."
